Subnet

A Subnet is a logical division of a larger computer network. For example, 192.168.0.1/24 is a network (first host: 192.168.0.1, last host: 192.168.0.254)  with 254 host IP’s whereas 192.168.0.1/28 is a Subnet with 14 hosts (first host: 192.168.0.1, last host: 192.168.1.14)
